It should be noted that this is applicable not only to Sonar X2, but to X3. As well as to others genres other than rock; i.e. country, folk, blues etc.
 
Charlies also correct in mentioning that Sonar comes with a boatload of ready to use templates that can be modified to your own particular tastes.
 
Sonar templates are easy to use and to change and as Charlie points out in his video easy to make from scratch.
