This never used to happen I would have a stereo sound rather than mono vocals and mono instruments.

I was at work and it came to me maybe if I cut and paste each track into a new file and place each synth in the new file whether I would be able to get some of the songs back to its original state. I am asking this wondering whether any one had done this before and did it work if you did?

You can do that, but the song might not have a good stereo field. Everything will be up the middle in most cases

I don't understand the question.

For some reason, he has songs that have instruemtn o one side and vocals on the other side of a stereo track. He wants to make the vocals in the center and the instruments left and right.

Well, that's what I got out of it :)

I was moving some songs to another folder then it got corrupted whereby the audio now is not playing correctly. I am getting the instruments playing on the right side and then the vocals on the left it will play like this not intentionally but because of a fault in the audio.

yes Cjay I want it to play how music is normally heard thru both speakers and vocals centred with stereo effects both left and right. There is a corrupt file in the audio. So my question is if a make a new project and transfer the midi data and audio over into the new folder with new synth sounds will I be able to get the sounds playing back without corruption in the files??

Excellent opportunity for a music-minus one/karaoke album!

Atleast an answer if anyone has come across this problem?

If the channels are truly separate, have you tried bouncing to new tracks and splitting it into 2 mono tracks?
