I have several midi drum triggers which I am using with an Alesis DM5 drum module as input to Session Drummer 3.  I need to configure the midi note generated by the trigger/drum module to correspond to  the correct Session Drummer drum sound.  It is extremely tedious to do this by the trial and error method. Is there documentation that maps the midi note to session drummer?  (For example, what midi note will trigger a bass drum sound)?  Any other hints for using drum triggers as input to SONAR would be appreciated as well.

MIDI mapping is in the Session Drummer help. With the Session Drummer UI in focus press F1. Right-click on the kit pieces will also show the MIDI notes each piece uses.

my alesis sr 16 is mapped correctly, have you tried this ?
look in drum maps and see if you can find yours, sonar ships with 100's of drum maps.

Although scook answered my question, chuckebaby made my setup work, so thanks to both.  Followup  to chuckebaby's video - What is the advantage of creating a folder?  And although I am using triggers for my drum sounds (ddrum acoustic triggers) I am using mics for my cymbols.  Should I include these audio tracks in my folder?

Folders are an organization tool. Use them as you see fit. When the track count gets larger than the screen can display, folders can make screen management easier. There are no rules on how to organize tracks. There is an option when inserting a synth to automatically create a folder to contain the tracks related to the synth.

as mr cook said, folders are a handy cosmetic tool for keeping things tidy.
rather than having 14 tracks taking up all the real estate in your track view, you can put them in a folder and open the folder to see the tracks, when your not working directly on those tracks, close the folder to keep them out of sight but within reach by only 1 click
