I made a preset for my typical .wav and .mp3 export.  Apparently after setting for one or the other and exporting....if I go back to export again it says I'm using the same preset but the export is not in the specified format.
 
Anyone else?

I'm not 100% sure I understand the question correctly, but (if I do) I recall sometimes having to click on the preset window or something, i.e. the correct preset name is in the window, but the actual settings are defaulted 'till I click somewhere. And that's in versions 4,6 and 8.5. Unfortunately the memory is very vague.
 
Is there some particular setting that is changed/not obeying the preset? Or are all the settings correct (preset name, check boxes) but the result is something different?

Hum. I use a preset for exporting 16bit/44.1kHz wave files and it stays in the same format when i go to use it again, right after the last export.

TIA can you provide more details?  If there is an issue here with export audio that I am missing I would like to find out about it.  Are you saying the settings in the export audio dialog are changing, or that the setting look ok but the rendered file is not correct? Or is it something else entirely?

I've made a number of exports with X3e and haven't seen any problems yet... I have always seen something along that line where I used a preset, then manually changed one of the settings... When I next use the command it shows the preset's choices without the manual alteration...

It may be related to the issue I posted above... Does any of that procedure seem similar to what you were doing?
