Hi,

I did this album of Christmas standards arranged for guitars back in 2002 or so, for a charity event.  I've used Cakewalk as my DAW forever, so this was all done with CW software.  The arrangements span rock, acoustic, and jazz.  I had a ton of fun doing this, and have used a couple of these arrangements in live performances over the years.  Enjoy!

Peace,

Allen, I think you need to have something like 5 or ten posts before you can post a link........however, you can spell out the website link in your post.

Ah, I was wondering why the link didn't show.  Thanks for letting me know! No worries, anyone interested can find it if you search on "A Guitarist's Christmas."  It's on Soundcloud, Soundclick, as well as iTunes, Groove Music, Rhapsody, and all the usual outlets.  It also got picked up by a couple of the muzak-ish retail pipe services, so it gets a fair amount of airplay this time of year, though I have no idea where!  Thought folks here might enjoy it.

Thanks!

On some websites going around the rules can BE hazardous (I won't mention the site's name because it might break some rule of conduct) . I was kicked out forever and no reason was told but these are the probable reasons. All I did was tell the other forumites how to get to my tune and made several errors while typing with my phone and had to edit later.

Wow. Really cool jazz playing. If I had not stopped practicing when I still played guitar, maybe I'd BE half as good. I stopped because my guitar teacher just wanted me to learn jazz and now after all these years I really like listening to jazzy playing. Then I wanted to learn to shred but he told me otherwise.

Listened to God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen (cos it's my favourite seasonal tune), very nice version, laid back with a cool groove. I like the unresolved lines and the distorted solo followed by the harmony, tasty.

I wasn't suggesting for Allen in any way to be "going around the rules" in positing a link(s) to his music as isn't this precisely how we all share our music in here (posting a link)? I was only suggesting he spell out the name of the link due to his limited post count number (2) so that he could share the music with us until he can actually post a link.

Is the spelling out a link rather inserting an actual link breaking some sort of a TOS in here? If it is, I do apologize as I was certainly unaware......(although I would think that would be a very unreasonable TOS).

Not as far as I know Mesh. I thought posting his link for him was very courteous of you.
