But that isn't an e-guitar; is it?

When you say e-guitar, are you looking for clean electric guitar tones?
If so, I think all these libraries come with a variety of tones (clean, distorted etc...).

I had a look at their guitars and they're almost exactly what I want. Sadly, it's way out of my budget right now.

Indiginus is definitely on my shortlist. But, then again I'm not really after acoustic guitars. I'm more after clean e-guitars. But nice suggestion, though. I'll keep an eye on it.
Indiginus Renegade then. It's sampled clean and various presets give you a wide range of tones using Kontakt's effects. BUT it needs the FULL version of Kontakt.

Orange Tree Samples stuff is a bit more expensive but will run in the free Kontakt player. In my opinion they have the best strumming engine. Evolution Strawberry or Evolution Stratosphere would be the one to look at. Automatic chord detection and a lot of pre-defined patterns make it easy to get decent results but you can take it a lot further as you learn.

Both have clean, crunch and distorted presets.

Well, I have Komplete 10, so Kontakt isn't an issue for me. And I'm almost on the verge of buying the hollow-body Archtop from Impact. But it doesn't sound electric enough to me, if that is even a thing.

Indiginus Renegade is a sampled Telecaster, a solid bodied guitar that will sound more "electric" than a hollow body archtop. It would be the simplest and cheapest option seeing you have Komplete.

Is it a jazz tone you are after then, but electric. The 335 from Amplesound should give you that as a semi hollow body.

Pettinhouse has all his guitars for $100 right now. That includes a 7 gig Stratocaster.

I've had my eye on them for a while, but it sounds like it's a phrase library, rather than a guitar virtual instrument.

Wow, the 335 sounds beautiful. It's much better than Impact's guitar for sure. But sadly, I realize my mistake that I don't actually need a hollow body guitar. Sorry for that.
The tone I'm going for is closer to Indiginus's Renegade, but a bit less.....funky?

EDIT: This is exactly the kind of style I need it for: https://soundcloud.com/ample-sound/newguitar
The lead that kicks in at around 1:00
And before the amped guitar kicks in at around 0:40
