yeah i'm pretty sure i'm updated
rapture is the usual culprit when it comes to crashing and i'm not really sure which is which when i select it
i'm going to exclude the DXi in the plugin manager and that hopefully helps thx!

I believe you are running 8.5. If this is the case, there is a separator in the menu with DX plug-ins above the line and VST plug-ins below it.

ah yes...i did actually take note of that today
it's been a long week - i forgot about that when writing the last post there

this is hopefully good news for me because i believe that almost all instances of rapture i'm currently using in my tune is the DXi
hopefully the VST will give me less issue

thx man!

If you had installed the 1.2 update the DXi would not be present.  Click on the word RAPTURE near the top right corner of the GUI to display the version number.

You seem to be implying that later versions of Sonar are different in this respect.  I'm using X2 and the plugin menus here look the same as in earlier versions.

i've got the programs on one drive and the multisamples etc. on another

as the subject says....completely messed up lol  ;)

This is true. It changes in X3. The separator is gone in favor of folders to hold the different plug-in formats.

They did as far back as I remember. The thread is about a SONAR 8.5 installation.
