I am trying to add just the drum map that Subjacent created but when I select the "New Drum Map" option the drum map that he created is not displaying.  I have copied the map to all of the subdirectories specified in the Read First document but still am unable to view and select the drum map.  Admittedly this is the first time I have used a drum map for Addictive Drums, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Go to Preferences > File > Folder Locations, and see what's entered for Drum Maps. That's where you need to place Subjacent's map file. If it's the dafault location, there will be a ton of maps in there that you'll probably never need. You should either archive those somewhere, or change the directory to point somewhere that  contains only what you really need.

I have all custom folders for this stuff that I limit to show only what I normally use.

Getting the drum map to show up is still a no go for me.  Does anyone have any other ideas that I can try?

So what do you see in the New Drum Map dropdown? Every map except the Addictive one? If that's the case, I think the filename extension must be wrong.

EDIT: Hmmm, no, just checked and that wouldn't account for not seeing it; it would just fail to load. Seems to me something must still not be right with paths. The path specified in Preferences is the only place it needs to be. Time for some screenshots, maybe.

EDIT 2: Have you restarted SONAR?  I just figured out that it caches what's in the Drum Maps folder at startup. If somethings not there at startup, you won't see it. And the file extension *does* have to be correct. That's why I got the error with the wrong extension; SONAR had cached the link, but could no longer load it. After restarting SONAR the mis-named drum map was no longer visible. So need to do both; verify the file extension, and restart SONAR.

On my end it appears to be working.
Each Sonar version (X3, X2, X1, etc.) has it's own Drum Map folder.
Did you install the AD Drum Map into the correct folder?
C:\Users\<YourPcUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk\SONAR X3 Producer\Drum Maps

The Drum Maps folder should look like this.  Notice that names of the existing Drum Maps - also notice that I've added Subjacent's AD map, it's 1st on the list when it's sorted by Name.

Thank you for all of the reply's. brundlefly's recommendation to shut down SONAR and restart it wound up being the reason why the drum map was not being loaded.  Problem solved...thanks again!!
