I totally goofed and accidentally posted this in the Coffee House.  It is dedicated to the Coffee House. I don't know how to delete it from there.  So I post it here too.  I wonder how many demerits I'll get for a double post?

Hey, Jesse,

I really like this one a lot, buddy!

The synth bass intro was cool, the acoustic guitar sounds really nice, and your vocals are sounding great on this.  I like the synth melodies on this, too.

One minor suggestion might be to turn up the synth that's on the left side a little bit to even it out with the acoustic guitar playing on the right, to blend the left/right balance a bit better.  Right now, to me it seems that the mix is favoring the right side and the acoustic a little too much.  (LOL, being a lifelong guitar player, due to the "live stage" guitar player's creed, I'm legally bound to never tell anyone to turn a guitar down.)  Of course, this stuff is always subjective, and the song is sounding really good as is.

Anyway, great job on this, and especially on the cool vocals!

Have a good one!
Bob

Hello Mr. Oster, your impressions are spot on.  I'll get a handle on this, thanks to cats like you.
When I get more times I want to review s it is right now I only have time to thank a few other folks and go cook dinner for the family.

I think that Bob covered it in his comments above.  How refreshing it is to listen to some really creative, quirky music that doesn't follow the corporate music playbook.  Who would have thought toast could provide a subject for such an interesting song?

Keep up the good stuff Jesse!!!

Good stuff here Jesse......I also like your 'quirky' songs and this is fine example. I agree with Bob's comments as well and possibly the acoustic could come down a few dB's to level it out a bit. Very nice, nonetheless!!

Keep it up Jesse!!

Another quirky piece!   I think Freddy nailed it with the "doesn't follow the corporate music playbook" comment.    Anything but the norm, it is.     Mix-wise I agree the acoustic is a bit loud, but that can be easily changed.

I keep coming back to this.  I love the $#!T out of this song.  It's like Donald Fagen meets Tom Waits.  If this had a better production quality I wouldn't like it nearly as much.

Mr. Peter, man, glad you like it. Nobody has ever said that about one of my songs.

One of these days I'm going to PM you.

I would like you to play guitar on one of my songs sometime.  If you thought you could, or wanted too.

Sure man - I'd love to play on one of your songs.  Just let me know where you want the solo to sit on the Quirk-Factor.
