The significance of NKS ?

Native Kontrol Standard (NKS) is Native Instruments’ extended plug-in format for all virtual instrument developers. NKS allows for intuitive and seamless interaction between plug-in instruments and KOMPLETE KONTROL and MASCHINE hardware – definitive integration designed by developers themselves. It integrates them into the Kontrol Keyboard control/lightguide system...

Numerous software industry leaders are now actively updating their existing products to be fully NKS-ready. The list is growing constantly as more partners join the KOMPLETE KONTROL system. The future of integration is here!

Thanks for the tour Vastman . . . ah yes, the NI Keyboard multi lighted keyboard controller . . . kinda' wish I bought that a few years back instead of my Novation Impulse / Automap controller, which is not even weighty enough to now become my boat anchor, but nevertheless a lovely wall hanging in my studio (oops, was that my outside voice speaking)

Glyn BarnesI don't know if anyone else is seeing this but there is one minor issue with some presets in the Komplete Kontrol preset menu that do not appear in the snapshot menu. These have "missing" samples. They are not missing as such because they are found when Kontakt is pointed at the Stratosphere folders. I have created a support ticket.

I've already followed up with Glyn via email, but in case anybody else is wondering, this issue with the snapshot presets has been fixed. This only applied to the included demo song snapshots (in the "Demo Songs" folder), and not the main factory snapshot presets.

If you already have the full version of Kontakt and having it included in the libraries tab isn't a big deal to you, there's still value in downloading the update:

- Kontakt 5's new snapshot preset management is much more powerful than the built-in presets Evolution Stratosphere had before. When you save a user preset now, it will show up on the snapshot menu, displaying the name of the preset and everything, which was a deficiency with the built-in system. We also made a bunch more factory presets.

- You not only get the latest version of the Evolution guitar engine (small bux fixes, more reverb pedals, new "random" articulation condition, ability to remap the manual string selection keys, improved round-robin cycling), but the library can now keep up to date with new versions of the Evolution engine that are released for the rest of the Evolution guitar libraries. We have a long list of improvements to implement. :)

Thanks Greg, a very quick response as usual. I will do the update later this morning.
