  • How to get AD to follow tempo map?

I decided to try tempo mapping but Addictive drums doesn't track with the mapping.

This is the first time I have tried this.

If I tempo map after tracking will the tracks follow?

If you're talking about playing patterns inside AD, there are buttons to Sync transport and Tempo to Host in the Beats page of AD. MIDI in tracks will follow tempo changes automatically. But its not clear exactly what you're doing. Can you provide a little more detail?

I recorded guitar and bass to a 16 bar AD pattern. It is sync'd tempo.
I then did a tempo map and I realize nothing changed except AD does track the map, not the guitar and bass.
I am so old school I use my DAW like a multtrack recorder with some automation! I really gotta delve. I been saying that for years.

If the tempo map ramps, you need to acidize the guitar and bass files, which is a whole other learning curve in itself.

If the tempo map jumps from one tempo to another, you can slip edit a clip edge while holding Ctrl to get the clip to conform to the new measure length caused by the tempo change. Don't forget to do an offline bounce after stretching a clip to apply a high-quality offline pitch tranposition.

You can use the slip edit technique on small jumps to create the illusion of a ramp.

Much appreciated! Thank you!

I promise I'll study up it and get into groovelooping.

Even like you mention will help my static mixes.
