The crash when working with a buss in the Console View with Concrete Limiter is FIXED!
The freeze of BFD3 using fast bounce is fixed! I had to resort to real time bounce.
 
I don't know what the Bakers have been up to but it must have been a lot of triple overtime in order to fix all the things they fixed.

That's AWESOME!!!  I can't wait to hear all of the new music you'll be creating with XE!!!

The inclusion of m4a file recognition is a huge enhancement for me. I use to have to use a converter to get those files inside of sonar.

Love what they've done with X3E.
But I do have a question.
When reading the update log it mentions fixes and enhancements but all I see is "Resolved an issue where....."
 
then there's mention of new accelerators which must be Keyboard shortcuts but nothing specifically listed as an enhancement.
There are a handful of entries not prefaced by the Resolved an issue etc.
Are they to be considered the enhancements?

Many times in the process of resolving an issue, additional changes are made that improve the function beyond just making it work. Think of it this way...the oil in your car needs changing, and that's a fix. But while you're in there, you change the oil filter too. That's an enhancement.

Just chiming in with another +1.  So far so good.  Props to Cakewalk!

I wasn't asking for a defence of Cakewalk, I was simply asking a question in connection with Cakewalk's own claim that this update contained not only fixes but enhancements.

While the list of fixes was easy to see I didn't see such a list for enhancements.

I'm happy. I don't need placating and I'm not trying to stir anything up. I just had a question and if I don't get an answer it's no big deal.

Once the fix, enhancement whatever is complete it does not matter (it definitely matters beforehand as it alters priorities). When something is done, it's much like an egg. Here is a fact.... eggs are eggs.
 
How they are categorised isn't important. . It's just an egg.
 
So how should we regard eggs?
 
Maybe eggs are useful canvasses to paint on? It's just an egg.
Maybe eggs are useful as you can eat them? It's just an egg.
Do eggs improve a persons ego? It's just an egg.
Do eggs exist so that people can make money?  It's just an egg.
Should eggs be used to throw at people? It's just an egg.
Maybe eggs are just here to make chickens or other life forms? It's just an egg.

We can change the definition anytime we want for ourselves and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace.

Look at the video enhancements in the readme file. The video engine now switches automatically to MF or DShow as needed without needing the user to modify the configuration manually. This improves file format compatibility greatly. This is one example.

+1 and +E  Thanks Noel and the entire bake team!  So far so good with X3e!

I was sort of looking for the "enhancements" too. What is vital to me is the Buss CL fix. All the rest is cool but that bug was very confounding.
 
What Noel mentioned to me qualifies as an enhancement. Nice one Noel.
