Hi All,

Since applying X3e Producer, loading a project in Producer causes "not responding" for at least 20 seconds, the interface is half drawn up then finally loads the project... Does anyone see this problem, it didn't occur with X3d - I really should try creating a new project, though I have been working on this one for a few weeks and still have lots to do on it...

As a side note, I was Just wondering, I've upgraded from Studio X3d version to Producer X3 and back then also applied X3d,... and have of course recently downloaded X3e Producer patch and successfully applied it - do I need to also apply X3e Studio version as well?

Thanks in Advance
Jim

Try safe mode by holding the SHIFT key while opening the project. It may have an issue with one of the plug-ins.

I would forget about the Studio install and work exclusively in Producer.

Thanks scook,

I get a popup; would you like to load "Dimension Pro" yes/yes to all/no/no to all - chose "yes to all" and project loaded super quick...

Multidock and browser are hidden

Project plays fine.

Do you have 2 different Dimensions installed?
Disable the VST Scan upon start up

Yeah I have the Pro version from Producer and LE from when upgraded from Studio version, hence makes me wonder if I need to apply Studio version of X3e as well??

But I don't use LE version..

I just tried again, exit sonar and start again, load the same project normally this time and loads just fine - what ever it was now seems to be fixed..

I doubt the Studio X3e patch makes a difference either way. I am pretty sure DimPro and DimProLE were not updated with X3e, if only because DimPro uses a separate installer and would need a separate standalone update. Apply the Studio X3e patch to remove any lingering doubt (or introduce the new problem, which should be patched first) or just ignore X3 Studio, the choice is yours. If it were my call, I would forget about X3 Studio.

I find it a bit of a pain having Dimension pro and LE installed side by side. What I did in the end was replace all my projects containing LE instances with PRO and move the LE DLL out of the cakewalk VST file path (that way it can be put back if necessary). Cheers...

Yeah Alex, I'm with you on that - I suppose that is one way to do it - what I have done instead was to use the Plug-in Manager, located the Dimension LE under the VSTi plugins, highlight it and then click on Exclude in the Manage Exclusion list and results in excluding the plugin, I probably need to do the same for Rapture LE...
