Duckbar 1.7.3 is available.
Win8 users, please let me know how it crashes...;-/
 
...and if it still crashes, I have plan B: just downloading Win8 evaluation copy to test it myself.

I just tried it and the same thing happened.  It seems to install correctly, but immediately when the program launches you get the "Duckbar has stopped working" error message & you have to cancel out of it.  Thanks for all your hard work.

Hey Panu - I just tried 1.7.3 - same result. It loads, recognizes the version of SONAR correctly as X3E, allows me to set a restore point - which I name and which is saved correctly, then it proceeds to crash. For the record this is the 64 bit version.
Thanks for the efforts especially considering you are limited in not having Windows 8.1.

Btw, you can start Duckbar in First Run Mode by holding down the shift key while starting it.

OK - just tried this Panu - I ran Duckbar 1.7.3 in "First Run Mode" and this time avoided setting a restore point. Same thing happened - Duckbar loads "successfully" then immediately closes with the message "Duckbar has stopped working...."
