Hi All,

A I have the paid upgrade to the Melodyne Editor version.

The Sonar 3Xe patch has that annoying Melodyne modify/repair/remove update window that pops up during the
installation process that
I closed the window by cancelling. Was this the right choice?

I got the same thing, then an error message.  Run the update as administrator and it doesn't happen.

I always though no matter what version of Melodyne you have, the actual full version is already installed, the version you can run is activate by what serial key you have applied to it...

I have the essentials version, I must admit it was a bit in "in your face moment" when I saw the popup - I chose modify (it was the default option) and it happily went on patching Melodyne...

Just wondering if Melodyne is patched on your system now after cancelling it???  I'm guessing you can always run the X3e patch again to be certain,.. Maybe some others can chime in to this discussion and see what they think..

I logged an issue about this with X3D and it got withdrawn. There should at least be something about this in the release notes and there isn't. I just hit cancel myself.

I also have the Melodyne Editor version . . . when applying the X3e patch I got the "annoying Melodyne modify/repair/remove update window" and I chose the "modify" option . . . result - Melodyne Editor still works in X3e!
Was that the right choice ? So far.

Agreed, some documentation regarding the Melodyne part of the install would be helpful.

I'd imagine CW includes this in the event that someone doesn't have that build of Meldodyne installed.  If you do, a cancel doesn't make any changes to Melodyne - I've done the same thing for every X3 update.

And as Jimmy wrote, there is only one Melodyne singletrack install, it's the license that differentiates Essentials from Assistant from Editor.

I too found it a bit confusing in the moment, and having upgraded to the editor version I also chose cancel.
From shat I've read here it seems either way is fine.  Yes, No, maybe so?

Cancel is what is recommended according to Cakewalk. Sorry for all the confusion.

hey alex can you choose one parameter on a vst3 plugin and automate it without having all the other parameters choosen. I spoke to cake they could not and I reported it  and it was closed. just wondering if you or anyone else can do it. Just making sure I am not missing something
