Instead yo need to click on it to open the vst list. Can't see the advantage of this.
For the vsti it still works like before.
Is this for everyone or it's just me?

X3e fixed a bug where if you had more than 500 plugins in a list, picking the plugins would fail. To accommodate this we needed to break the menu out in this condition. This particular issue happens with Waves users since the plugin suite is large and contains mono and stereo versions of the plugin. 
 
The best approach to avoid this limitation is to use plugin manager to break the plugin list down to smaller chunks. 

Totally understand the need for this, but a note should be added in the manual or changelog for this as stated in your response (which is clearly explain so thanks!).
 
If it is clearly stated in the changelog/manual please disregard my comment here.

This is documented in the X3 help. It is a new feature to allow for unlimited plugin's in menus.

Great. I will get used to it. And it works fine.
It also fixed the issue I had in some subfolders. I guess it might be related to the having more than 500 plugs.
