1. No, you must toggle global snap on an off after changing resolution for the PRV grid to follow.

Thanks for your reply. I've only read the first answer but as I said its Inline PRV and I tried toggling global snap on and off and it didn't work.

Sorry; missed that. That's the trouble with laundry lists - too much information for one post/thread.

Yeah, I know. But the forum is too active and crowded now so I thought posting 11 separate threads wasn't a very good idea.

3. Works as designed, I think. Locking MIDI clip position includes locking position of all events in the clip.

This current status of this ticket is "Submitted to Development" so I guess this is a bug.

How should this function then?
If you were able to nudge the notes in a clip even if the clip is locked and you nudged them as much as ..say ten bars in any direction (it doesn't matter if you normally don't nudge this much.. If it's possible it's possible), how would you suggest this be represented visually? .. With the notes far away to the left or right and the clip itself still locked to the original position...?

I think his intent is to be able to move all events within the bounds of the clip (and maybe even extend the end of the clip), except the one(s) that define the start time, so only the starting "position" is locked. Makes some sense; as it stands, there's a lot overlap between Lock Position, and Lock Content.

Well, since you can move notes by mouse even when the clip position is locked, I think nudge and CAL should work just as well.

I usually nudge notes vertically (to transpose) and I don't know if nudging notes to left or right far away will extend the clip edge when the bug is fixed, but what I do know is that the "Apply Trimming" command works even when the clip position is locked (isn't this great? love it!).

I'm a heavy clip locker (since I don't want to accidentally/unconsciously move clips even a bit and it can happen so easily in Sonar since dragging the right half of the clip makes the clips' RIGHT edge snap to the grid lines), and not being able to run a CAL to change the note length from 16th to 8th for example (with a shortcut key) when the clip position is locked is a PITA.

So, #3 bug fix is quite important for me. :-)

According to Jlient X CWBRN-15918 and CWBRN-17738 not fixed in X3E.
