That's rare ring them up I suggest normally their support is excellent. Im looking forward to trying mix control 3.4 tomorrow although I had no issues with 3.3

MY rig is a bit more simple ... still, I have issues my 18i2 ...it will fail to "close" when shutting down WIN7 thus causing some sort of loop which eventually crashes the computer ...I've read Focusrite units have similar problems across the product line ...don't know that for a fact ...

I would not trade the 18i ...it's performance is very good ...despite the occasional hiccup...

I just tried renaming the aud.ini file and letting Sonar make a new one, but it didn't fix the problem.  I uninstalled Mix Control and the drivers and installed the current release, and reset to default, but no luck.  In fact, now it will crash the drivers outside of Sonar.  The strange thing is that I can use the setup independent of the computer without problems, so I guess it might be a Windows issue.  I did install whatever automatic updates Windows released last Tuesday.  I wonder if that could be the cause.

Again I'm not seeing this as the norm. Could you check your windows event viewer please for related error messages please and paste them here. Also are you running antivirus software? Do you let your computer hibernate or go to sleep or anything like that?

Finally please could you...

Find and install the latest motherboard BIOS update.

Install the latest chipset drivers. If an Intel motherboard go to Intel auto update site.

Run windows update several times. I suggest installing most of the optional updates as well.

For fun defrag afterwards.

Thanks...

I would hope it's not the norm.  I'm sure it's something amiss in my system.
I'm downloading the optional updates now and will give that a try.  There are also a few motherboard updates that I need to install.  I'll let you know if that helps.

YAY! Success with the latest updates.
I did them all at the same time, so I'm not sure which one made the difference, but it included chipset, graphics and LAN drivers, and Windows updates that didn't specify what they fixed.
Thanks to all of you that helped!
