Hi!

I have been using X3 for a couple of months. It took me a while to get comfortable exporting audio, and I thought I had it down. But last night, I finished a new project and haven't been able to export it. At first, it took an inordinate amount of time...the project was about 8 minutes and it was taking more than 20 minutes to export to mp3. It failed a couple of times, then when I opened it, it was 46 minutes long.
OK, I imported that mp3 into a new project, clipped off the extra time, and exported again. Three times in a row, it has not created an mp3, but a "File" that is not openable. Any ideas?

Thanks!

Wave export works great. Very quick, but the file size is way too big for my purposes.

I can convert externally, but I'm annoyed that this doesn't work.

When I do start a conversion, it takes a long time, then I get the "File," which is probably 3-4 times the size of the extrenally converted mp3.

Its 46 minutes long because you have some sort of event at 46 minutes. You need to select the timeline of the actual song when you export. This will avoid what you are seeing.

Thanks for the thought. I got past that, but still produces a "File" that is not readable for my podcast host. Any ideas?

What's the file extension when viewed in Windows Explorer?

If the file plays in another mp3 player or imports into SONAR, then the file could be encoded with parameters not supported by the podcast host or the host requires header information not supplied by the file. It may be helpful to detail the parameters used and the host requirements.

Yea, you need to make sure you have the right file extension for your podcast host. That's all that is.

Go to your podcast host and see what files it supports. than just make your audio that kind of file
