Just curious if anybody has used a touch screen monitor to program drums into the Step Sequencer yet. I've seen quite a lot of videos of Sonar and touch monitors, but never saw the SS in any of them.
I noticed quite a few companies at the last NAMM coming out with brand-new / old-school drum-machine "looking" controllers. But if a touch monitor works well with the Step Sequencer, it sure would be fast... and justify me getting a touchscreen.

Touch works fine with Step Sequencer. The squares are just big enough that you can reliably touch the one you want. You can easily expand the row settings to show velocity etc. You can adjust the velocities (or any other parameter). And you can use the scroll bar on the right hand side of the screen to move up and down through rows in Step Sequencer.

I like my touch monitor and have no regrets about it.

Videos about touch are a little tougher to make for novices than videos where you can just take a screen capture because you need to film yourself touching the screen with a separate camera and blend the two together. That's the main reason I don't make videos showing how I use touch.

Currently, you can't touch delete a note. If there are more feature request, perhaps Cake may implement it.

Works for me in step sequencer to touch and delete a note. For me, tapping a note iterates through regular, flam and off.
