Hi. I am using SONAR X2a 64bit in Windows 7 Pro 64bit.

On pages 859 and 860 of the manual there are separate instructions for freezing a TRACK and freezing a SYNTH. I am using various synths with multiple outs - Kontakt, ARIA, East/West Play etc. My music is using several tracks on different channels from each synth. I want to freeze a single track but there is no option to do so in Track View - only "freeze synth". Is it possible for me to freeze a single one of these tracks? Any info would help. Thanks!

No, there is no way to freeze just one instrument/voice in a multi-timbral synth or sampler. This is why I tend to use separate Kontakt instances for each instrument, so that I do have that flexibility.

You can, however, bounce individual outputs of a multi-timbral sampler, assuming each voice is routed to a separate audio track. Solo the audio track you want to bounce, then go to Process -> Bounce to Track(s), select "New Track" as the destination.

Thanks bitflipper! Yeah, I've been doing the individual track bouncing for years without a problem. I thought I'd explore "freezing" which I had not used before and wondered about the "freeze track" versus" freeze synth" pages in the manual.

Thanks again!
