I love how we now have three threads on spam.

It would be lovely if the message didn't get so diluted across multiple threads....

I can't believe these messages are still hanging around in the forum....
And now we've have 3 threads about the spam. This is the original though and therefore the best.

A classic example of a forum without any real moderators despite many offers from various people in order to strangle this tone lowering rubbish.
A real shame. Unless you want a kitchen. Or a sexy night. Or a voodo doll. Then it's fab.
C'mon cake give a regular trusted member that lives here a bit of responsibility. :-) ...that obviously excludes me :-)

I have asked for and received the ability to block IPs and mass-murder spam messages. Obviously forum maintenance isn't my full-time gig, but I deleted about 600 spams over the weekend, and check back periodically.

Thanks for your efforts, Craig. It was quite annoying this past weekend to open Recent Posts and see a page full of Ali Baba's posts.

Can you tell us if the spammer is using a consistent subnet, or wildly changing IPs with every new log in?

There are many folks in here I would openly trust to moderate. It certainly relieves the shock of logging in to pages of spam.
