  • Strange behavior from 32 bit plugin?

Hello all. I recently installed a few synth plugins from Computer Music magazine. The 64 bit instruments are working exactly like they should, but the one 32 bit plugin I installed (U-he ZebraCM) is exhibiting some strange behavior. With the appropriate track selected and the plugin displayed, I get no sound when I play my keyboard controller. As soon as I minimize the plugin synth properties screen, I can get the synth to produce sound with whatever preset I selected when the properties screen was displayed. Also, when I minimize the plugin, it minimizes all the way down to the Windows 7 task bar, not the Sonar task bar like the other plugins minimize to. It almost seems like it's being run as a standalone plugin rather than a Sonar plugin, but like I said earlier, it will play when minimized. The plugin is installed where all my other synth instrument plugins are found, Program Files/Cakewalk/VSTPlugins. Is this just an example of unpredictable 32 bit plugin funkiness when being run on a 64 bit system? Or is there an easy fix that I'm missing? Thanks in advance for any help!

I've seen some bizarre behaviour from ZebraCM too.  So now, whenever I use it in a project, I usually bounce to audio and delete the synth at an early stage before anything weird happens.

Yeah, it's not the end of the world. I really like the synth though, and it's a pain to make a small adjustment to a parameter and then have to minimize the plugin before I can hear what effect the adjustment had. Definitely a tedious way to work. Had no problems with the plug back when I ran 8.5 on a 32 bit system. Thanks for posting!
