  • Amplitube3 automation in X3 using keyboard controller

I have an Oxygen49 and I can use it to automate Amplitube3 with no problems in the standalone version but I am getting nowhere using it in X3.  The IK manual says to refer to Sonar's documentation & I've done that.

I can set the parameters in Amplitube and in X3 but I my Oxygen49 faders, knobs and buttons don't do squat even though (of course) X3 is showing midi activity being received.  I'm really missing a big step here.

Thanks Chuck.  I'd seen that you tube vid before, but this time after I went through the process again I was able to get my faders & rotaries working with Amplitube.

But I'm still having trouble with my buttons.  C18-C26 are changing from "True" to "False" in the ACT panel when I hit one of them, and the on/off switch light on my fx comes on but it goes off immediately after I release the button.  Off the course the idea is just to turn the effect on or off.

The problem definitely is with my Oxygen49 because the same thing happened in Omnisphere.  The LED on the keyboard displays 127 when I press a button.  Do you know if that's wrong?

Thanks again.

If I'm remembering my M-Audio-speak correctly, you need to set up your switches to 'toggle', rather than 'trigger'.  That somewhat convoluted programming process is in the manual somewhere.

Thanks b rock.  I've spent about 2 hours in the manual not knowing exactly what I was looking for.  I'll dig back in.

Ok, rant coming here.  I guess I should be angry at myself but the manual I printed out when I bought the Oxygen49 isn't the same manual that's now on-line that explains it's the "note on/off" parameter (CC146) that needs to be programmed.  Simple when the instruction is  actually in the manual.

I will try this tomorrow, because it's now almost 5:00 am here thanks to CDT occurring (boo Benjamin Franklin) and because I still do have questions, because this is so counter-intuitive to me.

Thanks again to b rock & Chuck.
