When I put my registration key, it says it's invalid. I bought a copy of Sonar 8 through Amazon. Could anyone help me?

With most versions of Sonar, including 8, it will be fully functional for 15 days after you install it and there is no need to "activate" it.  But you will need to register it online where you will be given a registration code.  Is this the key that won't work?  Or do you mean the serial number?

Unfortunately there's a good chance your product is already registered by previous owner, and thus can not be registered again.
It's not 100 % sure that this is the case, of course.
SONAR 8 hasn't been available at Cakewalk store for something like 7-8 years.

If it was purchased from Amazon it should be new (although it is old stock).  I don't think they sell used software.

 Ok. Could be you're right. As they sell everything else also second hand, I thought it applies to software as well.
It happens that software sent via mail is copied and registered on the way, so I'd be cautious anyway.
 
EDIT. Actually, they sell a lot of used software, I checked. I found 2 open box SONAR X1 Studios, for example. I don't know, if they check the transferrability of licenses.

This is a user forum, you may want to ask Cakewalk registration support directly and if it turns out the software has already been registered then you need to contact Amazon about a refund.
