Hi Guys,

Our DNS went down for about 20 mins this morning. It should resolve itself as the update spreads worldwide. Sounds like some of you are experiencing the after effects of it. This isn't related to any malware or spammers.

As a troubleshooting step in the meantime, if you want to flush your DNS cache you can run the following in Command Prompt:

ipconfig -flushdns

Sorry for the trouble guys.

-Ryan

Well the Spammers are back in the CH...

and as an aside ther forum works in IE8 but NOT FF, no matter what I do, including re-install FF, repair, rinse and repeat...

Thanks for the confirmation Ryan! Good to know you guys are aware of the issue at least.
I tried flushing my dns before already (should've said that) and just did it again, no effect.

I didn't take into account it would take time for worldwide DNSs to incorporate the new location. Hope it will fix itself soon then! Kinda puzzled my phone has no issues.

were you on your home wireless network with your phone OR your cellular providers data?Probably two different DNS provider settings..

If FF is FireFox 27.0.1, this reply was made using it.

Could Cake please delete this thread (been reported for a while now):

At MusicMan please delete your cache and your cookies in FF. It might be some firefox addon in the way as well..

Otherwise please specify what "works" means or better still tell us what the specific issue is.

Thanks...

Ok Alex..

have flushed DNS ,
removed all cookies and history from FF
restarted with all add ons removed on FF
rebooted my PC
re-installed  FF
..what I mean by not works is that I can copy the correct URL from IE and paste it into the FF url box, and get a rediredt to the DNS placeholder page
I can type manually the correct URL into FF and still receive a redirect
my FF is 27.0.1
I am sure I will find the solution eventually

I've had this problem for hours, only just managed to get here.  I don't know if it will do it again, so here's a post that I may not be able to follow up on!

Other forums suggested flushing DNS (didn't have an effect) and my caches (no effect either). I had the problem on my desktop and also my laptop, so I came to the conclusion CW had not paid their domain renewal, hence the diversion to a parked domain site.  Not it seems that the propagation of the correction has taken a few hours to work.  We'll see when I try to log on again in a while....

All three were on my work's wifi, that's what was so weird. I use Opera on my phone and even checked if their "turbo" proxy system was in use but I had it set to always off. The only thing I can imagine is that because I still had a working page open there, Opera remembers the (correct) IP and addresses it directly unless it can't be found. It's fine now on all my devices by the way, and I'm off to bed so I'll change the title again to something more mellow.

They changed offices, and maybe they changed servers. Update of DNS can take anything from 1 hour to 48 hours.
I still think they are secretly in Russia.

Assuming it wasn't a pasting error (such as a line break in the browser) and it is now working it probably was a caching issue within Firefox or a cookie that needed expiring.
