Hello--

I was reading somone's post here ahile ago, and a reply said something about clearing the picture cache to resolve the issue.

I have noticed that my wav pictures are taking very long to load and I wondered if I need to clear my cache? I searched in the product tutorial and saw nothing about this.

Anyone know how to clear the picture cache and when one might want to do that?

Many thanks,

sd

Go into the picture cache directory, select all files, then delete.

Hey, thanks. How often/when do you clear your picture cache?

The only time I clear my picture cache is if I have a redraw problem and thats very rare.

You might need to make the picture cache bigger if you have a large number of audio tracks. The setting is in the AUD.INI file.

Or you can be really adventurous and make it 1000 or even 2000. Seriously.

Hi everyone,

I hope someone can educate me re clearing the picture cache.  I have Sonar Utilities and have clicked several times on the clear picture cache button but it doesn't seem to change the amount of memory used.  I have located the picture cache directory but is it safe, let alone good practice, to just open the folder, select all and delete ALL the files?!

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, just delete the files.
