I listened to v2 and really hard to pinpoint any improvement.  I read v1 had vocals too low in mix, which is a common mixing problem.  You almost need vocals what you consider would too high in rock/pop mixes.  When you have a great voice, it's the voice that is the main element to be emphasized.  Great guitar work, slides, etc.  Very tasteful.  I would bring the kick up a touch.  nice work!

Thank  you Mike, I appreciate you giving it some time to listen and to comment, and thank you for your comments on my guitar work. It's always such a chore for me to get good sounds and good parts put together. Are you saying that V2 still needs the vocals bumped up some?

i know you've worked on the mix - I listened to V2 and it sounds real good to me. Love the octaves on lead vocal and the harmony. The dueling guitars are well played and fun to hear (the contrast). The most enjoyable thing for me is the choices you made with the chords - they're a bit unorthodox so they keep you tuned in.

Angry girl. It puts a smile on my face.

Btw - immediately following this tune soundcloud launched into The Slap. Another interesting piece of music.

Good stuff.

Thanks, Manny, I'm glad you enjoyed both of them, they were both a boatload of fun to do. I so appreciate you giving them a bit of time to listen and comment!

Thanks, ohgrant, glad you liked it. I think I may owe one of your tunes a listen too!

Good stuff Kevin. Like the guitar riffs and tones and this grooves along nicely. Cool key change into the break. I get what others have said about the vocals, but it really depends what you're going for. To me it sounds like a late '70's mix (which I like).

Thanks for the feedback. The 70's sound is exactly what I was aiming for, something that I found to be pretty elusive at my current skill level, and getting vocals down just kills me. Thanks!
