Synthmaster noob here, just trying to wrap my head around it ...

Was going to hold out for Zebra, before buying any new synths, but picked this up instead on a black Friday deal.  No regrets, this thing is great!

So I watched all of the available Synthmaster videos on You Tube, most of which are brief reviews that cover the synth in 15-20 mins.

Except this one.  Good stuff !!!  It's older, and uses version 2.6 in the tutorial, but most of it still applies.  A few controls have moved around due to some newer GUI and feature improvements in 2.8.

This guy explains things very well.  Just open up a copy of Synthmaster and try to keep up.  I had to hit the pause button numerous times, LOL!

I feel confident that I understand the architecture of this synth better, it's capabilities, and how the routing works, including how to assign modulators.

But I also love how you can just drag and drop to assign the modulators in 2.8 now!!!

Thanks for the links.

For those that don't know, Synthmaster One is coming soon. I believe it is going to be released in Jan or Feb. It is a cut down version of synthmaster that has everything on one page. So far it reminds me of Sylenth looks wise, but the GUI isn't done yet. The features from SM will all be there for the most part, just the number of them will be reduced. It will also have a wavetable osc added, which will allow you to import your own wavetables. Later next year SM 3 will be released with a full wavetable editor like Serum. If you like SM now just wait for the updates.

I actually like the GUI just fine!  It's rather intuitive, after you do a little digging.  But I am looking forward to the wavetable stuff

The best part of version 3 is this:
