Are people who HAVE character better at MAKING CHARACTERS?
Probably not, it gets too hard to get away from eccentricities the more they're ingrained. I know I can't.
My wife went a respected drama school for 3 years, and a lot of it focused on breaking down your personality so that you can adapt to a created one. Much like the military does.
The course broke them all down into tears and empty shells, and had a ~70% dropout rate.
