Just installed Sonar x1 Studio. It recognizes my Bose Companion 5 speakers but won't output the sounds to them. Does anybody has a tip on this? I'm a newbee, thanks.

they are usb based speakers? .. and you went into audio setup and selected them ? if not , go into advanced..

I'm taking a guess , but don't think they have a ASIO driver ? if not, they aren't really up to the task and well designed for gaming / watching movies really..

you could try asio4all.. but a native asio driver is far better and well better hardware designed for music making NOT home entertainment.

I know this is an old post, I was searching google for the same, to see if there is asio support driver for these speakers.

What I can suggest is if you don't have asio drivers for them, (I haven't found any yet and have just emailed BOSE Support) If your computer's sound card is sufficient then it's possible to use the Headphone Line Out from your computer's soundcard to the BOSE Companion 5's input, Bobs your uncle...

I just found if I use asio4all and from the preferences menu in X3, chose the ASIO Control panel to load, I can select from the ASIO4aLL panel the Bose Audio (USB) as output, the ASIO 4all driver doesn't support any input for the Bose Audio USB.  After setting this I can now output to Bose Speakers in X3...  Sounds cool!
