I,m à newby on this forum but I ran into a problem I can't solve. I,m à sonar user for manny years now..from sonar 7 en 8.5.3 en now I bought X3. I did skip X1and X2. I have the dvd version. Ofcourse over the years I collect several plug-ins and they all seem to work ok
except for the TTS1. Every time when I load an empty project the plug-in is playing ok at first ,but when I put more plug-ins in the project it does not play anymore or with a very large latency 20 -30seconds .Then the program crashes. When I loading a project that have already other plugins the tts1 doesn,t play at all. IT appears in the track vieuw and in the synthrack I can see the lights from the incoming
midi but no. sound at all and then crashes.
Is there anyone who can help me with this problem.. Untill now I never had any problem with sonar at all
Thanks...

The latency and crash  may be due to your sound card (or lack of a sound card) and its settings. You will need to be allot more specific  about your set up before anyone can know for sure. FYI: Im pretty sure the TTs used to have a sample rate issue with a higher sample rate (maybee 88 or 96Khz). But yo uneed to list your settings and hardware first

Thanks for the Quick respons. My system is an Intel i7 950 3.07 ghz. The sound cart is RME. Bit range I used is 32 bit and the sample rate is 44.1. That should not be the problem my normal latency is 5.8 msec

Nothing is recording at 32-bits at this point in time, to the best of my knowledge.  24-bits is the max.

1.  Are you loading 32-bit plugins into 64-bit Sonar?

2.  Are any plugins meant for mixing/mastering, and not for tracking?  Such plugins either use look-ahead processing or are otherwise very CPU intensive.

3.  The problem sample rate for TTS-1 is 88 k, which is not an issue for your system.

4.  Are you using a driver mode of ASIO?

5.  Which specific plugins are you adding to projects that are having this issue?

If this is a recent upgrade to X3 make sure to perform this task http://www.cakewalk.com/S...reader.aspx/2007013315

I do not believe 32-bit Directx plugins will not work in 64-bit Sonar.

This is true but I do not believe the 32bit versions show up in the 64bit host, assuming this is a 64bit version of SONAR. There are 64bit versions of all of those synths. With the information given it is impossible to tell if this is a 64bit issue, a permissions problem, a faulty installation or something else.
