It seems all the Addictive Drums MIDI fill loops are two bars, BUT the first bar is 4 hi-hats and nothing else. Is there a way to import into a project the second bar only of the fill pattern? I really don't need 4 hi-hat hits...

Thanks

I'm not sure you can do it that way, but here's a workaround (and if you already know this, please excuse my assumption that you didn't):

Set up a MIDI scratch track and drop the entire fill loop on it. Go into the PRV, select the notes you don't want and delete them. Back in the Track View, make sure Snap to Grid is on with an appropriate note length set (whole notes would likely do, but 1/4 notes are fine, too) and resize the clip so it's only one bar long.

When you use it on the drum track you're building, Ctrl-drag rather than just dragging it over there so it makes a copy. That way you still have it handy on your scratch track if you want to use it again.

Of course, you can also use the scratch track for building other fills, too.

And if you don't set up any audio out for the MIDI scratch track, you don't have to worry about it messing with your sound. You could also hide it if it gets in your way.

Thanks Ron ...yeah that will work...I would rather find some way of reducing them en masse so those steps are un-necessary though. Weird thing to do with fills..I guess there is a reason!

Hi there,
drop the entire fill on the first track under the source track. Then cut the part you don't want (hi hat) and drop the rest of the fill on the source track where you have made room for your fill. Try it.

;-) Yep, that's pretty much what Ron said...
