Amine Belkhouche
Hey batsbrew,
I'm listening on my laptop speakers, so forgive me if I miss some details. I like how you were using the different techniques on the acoustic guitar to create the riff. I like how free it feels at the beginning, eventually locking into to the rock section later on, and just the through-composed feel in general. Awesome guitar playing, how many separate overdubs did you have to do? It sounds good, congrats man.
hi amine....
yep, laptop speakers, are the bane of my existence!!
LOL
no, seriously, thanks for even listening....
when you get a chance to do some 'deep listening', i think you will be surprised at the level of production on this set of songs on this new album....
for this song:
the whole thing was done as an instrumental to go along with the first drum track i ever programmed using ezdrummer.
later, i got superior drummer, edited a LOT of the original drum track info,
and chose different kits, until i found one that i really liked (the one on the recording.....)
so, the whole song started with an electric guitar rhythm,
and ultimately was built up from that.
on this song,
i've got 2 hard rhythms, 4 acoustic rhythms, 3 lead guitars, and a couple of filler parts....
