A song written for a friendly songwriting contest. As November is the month of Movember, the challenge was to write a song about a moustache, or a character with a moustache. The song had to be between 2-4 minutes long and mention the moustache at least 3 times.
 
And so this silly synth-pop song was born.
 
Lyrics:

Mervyn’s magic moustache
It sits upon his face
It makes him superhuman
I think it came from space
Mervyn’s magic moustache
Mystical and weird
It harbours awesome power
Even though it’s not a beard
 
Harry Potter has his wand
Jedis use the force
But Merv has his moustache
Which is magical of course
He uses it for the power of good
Puts evil on its knees
It helps defeat the bad guys
And sometimes catch a sneeze

EDIT: I've made some changes to the mix and EQ on the vocals, I think it's improved.  Thanks for the suggestion!

Hey fella, that is a fun song.  I hope you don't take this the wrong way, but I imagined myself as 5 years old again, and marching around the sandbox to a funny song. 
 
This is the first song I have ever heard about a mustache.  That is a great way to put a smile on my face. 
Off to work I go, but I'm stuck with that beat in my head and I'm going to use it today when I start to get stressed out.

No offense taken at all mate, that's exactly the kind of thing I was going for. Something accessible and just a tad silly. I kind of took inspiration from songs like "I'm The Urban Spaceman" and "Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da" when I was writing it.
