I have a small problem that I don´t really understand. When I am opening a new project I should have the oportunity to choose between all the different Templates that´s in the Project Template folder. But the only Templates that showing up under File/New is as follow:
--Blank Project
--Play List Set
Normal

Why isn´t the other ones in the Project Template folder showing up (inclusive the new free session drums templates)?
Yes, I have double checked three times so that the Folder Location is set to the right folder.

Yes, I have double checked three times so that the Folder Location is set to the right folder.

I suggest this:

Make a folder on the C drive named Templates.

Using Windows Explorer, browse to where your project templates are. Are they all there? If they are all there, copy them, then paste them all in the folder you just made named Templates (on the C drive.)

Open SONAR and go to the Unified Preferences View (UP View.) Under File, click on Folder Locations.

In the right pane of the UP View, across from where it says Templates, browse to that folder you made on the C drive named Templates, select it and click OK, then click Apply, then close the UP View and close SONAR.

Open SONAR and go to File>New.

Do you see your Project Templates in the New Project File dialog box now?

Thanks for your help! I tried it and it still didn´t worked.....but then I controlled the folder option and it showed up that the folder seemed to be not open for some of the useralternatives of the computer. When I changed that so all users (I don´t know why there are more than one user cause I am the only one and it always starts up automatic in the same usermode as I like to have it....maybe I just should delete the other useralternatives somewhere.....)
and then it worked!!!
Thanks for you help, problem solved for now.

I thought there was something fishy going on.

I figured if you would try relocating your templates and setting up SONAR to reflect that, some solution would present itself.

Good to hear it's working for you, now.

Because of the user control you mention, sometimes a user has to take ownership or full control of some folders or files or some users or programs can't access them. Because of some level of access control we ourselves apply, there is limited access to data on our PC. It's a security feature that sometimes can be a pain in the butt. At the least, there are two user categories you have to be concerned about, yourself and everyone.

Maybe you can try to be more careful about what access control you apply to certain files and folders, in the future.

It's great that you explained the solution, in case this problem pops up for another user, sooner or later.

I'm glad it's working for you, now.

Cya around.
