If you release a "version". It should work completely. All issues and bugs fixed!

That's always the plan, actually. In simple terms, it's the bugs that crop up because of the fixes that need fixing in the next release.

More succinctly: Some bugs don't show up until another part of the code is working the way it should. The second bug was somehow compensating for the first bug, hiding it, or redirecting program flow so it never executed.

For instance, if you crtl drag a had plugin to another track, they just stop working...

Which UAD-2 probs are you having?  Feel free to PM me as not to derail this thread.

With all do respect to everyone...I am not looking for trouble here. I love this forum!

But, rontarrant is the only member who understood what I was saying.

I know what a rev release is vs. a version release.

I know rev's are free and versions are not.

I was simply responding to the implied (I may have read something into this, and I own that mistake) response from BlixYZ.

Please accept my apologies.

@TremoJem - I don't think anybody was put out by your comments.  They seemed to be replying to explain things, but I don't think I saw anybody having any kind of problems with your comments.

Whew, I am so glad to hear that.

Written word is so different from in your face conversation with body language, voice, tone, etc.

I love this forum and have grown to know a few people and have never had a problem, so I kinda freaked a little.

My mistake.

Thank you everyone.

Don't sweat it - LOTS of folks in these forums 'freak out' over lots of different things.  :)

Your comments were an honest expression of your feelings, and were in response to someone's post, and I think honesty is a good thing, unless your wife doesn't approve of your musical expenditures and you have to hide the receipts, and so on.....

It's true, there will be a SONAR X3e. It's coming in mid to late March.

Thanks for your candor Andrew with regards to a forthcoming update. Nice to know Cake is still working to make X3 the best it can be.

Cheers,

Hope the UAD-2 probs get fixed...

Download and install the just released UAD v7.5. Includes a number of SONAR X3 related fixes. It fixed two issues I was seeing (UAD warning pop-up dialog message when placing a native plug-in between two UAD and using UAD FX in the pro channel that become non-responsive).

Cheers,

Written word is so different from in your face conversation with body language, voice, tone, etc.

I once took a course in interpersonal skills and the underlying premise was that communication can be broken down into three major areas:
- body language (40%)
- tone of voice (40%)
- words (10%)

In other words, I (again) see where you're coming from, TremoJem.

I don't think think that your comnent is out of line at all tremojem - you make a very valid point. Way too often software developers bring out a new paid version well before they have a fully functioning old version - I seem to recall x2 still having quite a few stability problems when x3 was released! I know many people would be dissapointed if Cakewalk released x4 without fixing some outstanding bugs. We don't yet have a functioning, usable playlist for example.
Thankfully, in the case of x3, they seem to be doing just that:) Great news Andrew - looking forward to x3e:)
