I would like to give a drummer an audio file (for practicing prior to recording) complete with the metronome, "click track." How would I set up the X1 producer-metronome so that when I export to 2-track I can hear the sound of the metronome along with the other instruments.

I'd insert a simple drum synth and just use a selection of clave/block sounds.
You can use any of the bundled synths for this, it doesn't need to be Session Drummer, Addictive drums or anything like that.
Pentagon will work, Roland Groove Synth, Dimension Pro, Rapture - all of these come with basic percussion sounds which you can easily program.
