Here's a new one and a bit different from things I been writing lately. I just wanted to write a waltz, I don't know why. The main theme was resurrected from the overture to a Passion Play I wrote years ago and re-imagined into a waltz.

There's video with the score here if you are interested:

I'd love any thoughts and opinions.

This is also my first time using VE Pro 5. It's set up on the local PC (not as a slave) and it really took a load off of Sonar! I was able to load the entire score (Hollywood Orchestra Gold) without ANY audio glitches, and no need to freeze tracks.

I'd say music fit for royalty.  I hear Tchaikovsky influence.  Great orchestration.  Thanks for comments

Hello Sir, I always preface my reviews stating that I know nothing about music or recording.  I can only comment on what I like about a piece.
Let me say this, what is there not to like about this piece!
The strings, the french horns, the cellos, the arrangement...it is all good.  There are familiar melodies(?), but never taken to far.
I close my eyes and feel as if I am in Vienna.
You are very talented.
On a side note, your soundclick page starts scrolling through some of your other songs, and as I type I hear some of your other songs.
I am jealous of you.  Have you been in a band before?  Tell me more about your experience.
Keep up the great work.

Hi, David,

Wow, this is an absolutely gorgeous piece of music!  Beautifully composed and arranged with all the subtle nuance of an actual live symphony orchestra.

It literally took me back to when I was a child and my parents would take me to Radio City Music Hall and Lincoln Center in New York City for symphony concerts!

Excellent production all around, and thanks for bringing back some wonderful memories!

Best Wishes,
Bob

David,

Excellent work.  You orchestration with MIDI is quite believable and that is not an easy task.   Like the composition as well....very light and airy waltz.

Regards

I really loved the piece, you've done a truly spectacular job with it. I'm going to have to give the rest of your music a listen! Thanks for sharing this.
