Just updated to the newest SPLAT release.  Oddly it started up with some new screens that had me reset all my audio and midi settings/instruments/control surfaces.  At first it didn't want to see my midi controller keyboard but after several tries finally did. After going through the preferences section and resetting all my audio and midi and surface controllers back to where they were I have everything (Maschine, NanoKontrol, Alesis QS8) working EXCEPT my FaderPort.  It shows up in the control surface screen and my midi controllers but is not working at all.  Any help anyone could give will be greatly appreciated.

I suspect these new setup screens are part of the "Lenses" thingy which I haven't discovered yet.  Perhaps not.  In any case, I'd like to have my FaderPort back.  IIRC it was a bee-atch to get working in the first place.

Thanks

I didn't let it change anything I just kept closing out of it if fear of what happened to you. If your using the Azcntrl I'm sure Azlow will assist.

I wouldn't have a clue what either Azcntrl or Azlow is...I am a dimwit.

Hip me, will ya?

I'll try but I'm always the one needing help.

I'm assuming then you are using the Faderport.dll.
Try this. At the dos prompt do the following

cd C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Shared Surfaces\
type regsvr32 FaderPort.dll
C:\windows\SysWow64\regsvr32 FaderPort.dll
you should get a conformation that the Faderport.dll is registered.

Hope this helps.

Also in preference midi make sure both key aftertouch and channel aftertouch are checked

Well, I thank you heartily for your help...which I am going to "Google" and try to understand. Honest.

I do have one more question to aid in my quest..."in preference midi" where?? What??

Well, heck that was actually two questions wasn't it? I can't even get that right.

Sorry I should have been more clear on that.
Look in Prefferences, Midi, Playback and Recording. You will see key aftertouch and channel aftertouch. both should be checked
