I have connected my Microbrute via USB. I can't get it to sync in time with Sonar X3 Producer. What do do wrong? How should I set up the Midi sync?
 
I have programmed a sequencer pattern on the MB internal sequencer and would like to record it into Sonar in midi if possible?
If not I know it is possible to export/import midi patterns via MB software.

From a quick glance at the Microbrut's manual it looks like the device will only receive MIDI beat clock. The Microbrute has to be set to receive the clock in the setup software. It looks like you would want to set Rate to External. It may auto detect this once the clock is detected. To send the MIDI clock in Sonar go to Preferences - Project - MIDI and check the "Transmit MIDI Start/Continue..." option under Send MIDI sync. Below that check the output port for the Microbruit. If the device supports song position pointer messages it should start when you play from Sonar. If not, you may need to start Sonar, then start the device.

You are correct. The modwheel is the only control on the Microbrute that sends MIDI.
 
What I want to accomplish is to get the step sequencer on the MB to sync with the tempo of Sonar. Not sure if that could be done?
