I just really missing the knobs and sliders for the channel strips and Vsts
Budget is 5 to 10k for this part.

+1 on the A&H GS. I have it's baby brother the ZED-R16 and if I could justify the expense I'd have the GS in a heartbeat.

Are you looking for a mixer or a Control Surface? Your post seems to be about a CS. There is only one that can do what you are asking and that is the Mackie Control.

Edit. The OP would like PT integration and as far as I know only the MC has it with HUI mode.

There is a nice 24-channel control surface from Mixed Logic.

Here is a link to it:

The new X Touch (wait until about 25 sec in) from Behringer looks promising.
Lots of features without the Mackie price tag. I have the BCF2000 and it has held up well, and it works.

I have to chime in also for the A&H.  I have the R16 also and have heard nothing but really great reviews about the GS R24M. From what I understand, it is compatible with PT.
As FBB stated, This is on my wish list of things that if I could, I  already would.

Just trying to keep this fresh - obviously the VS 700  C & R is a thing of the past - want to off load mine before it is totally worthless.   Anyone else recommending any other Control Surfaces / Mixers for Sonar X3 Producer.

Thanks guys
The  Allen & Heath looks very nice and sounds nice problem is I have already invested in out board tube gear Avalon Grace etc so looking for more Control Surfaces..As for the Slate between this along with his Virtual Mic system I would have gone this way if it was start up, looks like back to chaining control surfaces. have not had a chance to look at the Mixed Logic...My number one concern is with all of them is functionality with Sonar X3
