(BTW there are still some really annoying flaws with takelanes which make it unintuitive and given it a slightly half baked smell, some of which still hasn't been directly addressed (rather sidestepped), but it has always been the way to go forward IMHO, it does work).

Parens inside of parens.

Gotta love ex-programmers.

Just to show that I can (occasionally) stay on topic. I too have never seen the OP's behavior.

Besides the reiteration of the demo being available, I can affirm that your assessment about X3's release is definitely wrong, and here is why...

I pre-purchased X2, and had a bad install of X2 that made it totally unstable... since I was working 16 hour days, I kicked X2 to the curb quicker than last week's news and it took me 9 months to come back and resolve the issue. Even though stable from that point on, I did not pre-purchase X3 and waited an entire week before getting it, which was based on the user feedback here. If it had been bad, I wouldn't have X3...

I was recently replicating an experiment from another DAW (moving a single sample in Audacity) and pulled that clip into SONAR to check it. I had zoomed all the way in to see samples and was sliding the clip one sample at a time, which is why a video of your issue would help us a lot. Something as simple as zoom level /mouse used factor into the resolution of moving a clip.

I think X3 got one of the better receptions of any Cakewalk release in the last 5-6 releases.  No matter how good it is, there are always going to be negative voices. It could be endorsed by Jesus, Mohammed, Krishna and the flying spaghetti monster as perfect and someone would  comment on how Thor prefers Cubase. It's just the law of forums.

No, Thor liked winamp because of the lighting logo! It's logical to think he would jump on Reaper but he shocked the world by going all Germanic with Steinberg!

First post since joining the forum. What in the world is this guy talking about? I have used arrow keys to nudge but not in a long long time. pretty much snap to is all you need. I have been using cakewalk since I ran windows 3.1 20 years ago.  X3 is by far the best "sonar" version and I don't know why it doesn't get more press? Been hammering away with the producer version for many months , got it crash once. There is no audio placement nudge bug thing that I have encountered, not to say its not possible.

I was thinking the same thing. I can't recall someone posting as their first post such a nice defense of Sonar. Then again X3 deserves it.
