I rarely use X3 on a Surface Pro....
I don't use it very much at all, and I think that there is a little problem for setting volume and pan (the mouse is not responsive for that).

Anyway it works well....

Not on a tablet exactly but a Vaio Pro 13 Touch. The new PCIe SSD Drive in that thing is like lightning. Even faster than my Desktop with an Intel SSD.

Thanks.  I'm speculating that tablets aren't prime time for hosting DAW's yet.  The power and portability seems to be a plus!  I guess it could be a couple years down the road before we see wider acceptance?

I would imagine the highest-end wintabs are getting close.  I couldn't imagine doing anything on my atom tab- maybe midi, but w/ only 16 gigs of memory ...  I would think the best solution today would be something like the SONY tabletop touch - a 20+ inch touch screen and portable, not laptop processor

But even today a cleaner app could do yeoman work, esp. w/ midi.  But it shouldn't be too long until tabs replace laptops, and people run their DAWs on those.  It will be sooner than you think.
