Dave, You just changed my life with those CAL scripts.  I will use those all the time.

Some VIs sound really different according to velocity (e.g., Vienna) so this is important.

Thanks.

Glad to help, Konrad. I long ago intended to merge those two scripts to find both Hi and Lo in one go, but never got around to it. These days, I tend to just scan the velocity tails in the PRV, and estimate a range that encompasses everything.

I have to reiterate that the the Event Inspector really addresses most cases of simple velocity interpolation. It's only when you want to both move the center and change the "dynamic range" in one go that you would need to use Interpolate (a.k.a. Find/Change). But it's easy enough to do it in two steps with Event Inspector.

Good to know, thanks!

I am one of these guys who has used Cakewalk since it ran on a steam engine with an Etch-a-Sketch monitor, so when I got X1, I basically learned how to do what I had always been doing, and then added some of the more critical new functions to my skill set.  By now I am really fast and productive on Sonar X1, but there are no doubt better ways of doing some things.  Software this deep and broad always has more to learn.

I had a song where the kick was generally 70-85 but occasional 120-127.

I wrote a quick CAL script to set note=36 to 90-95 based on 120-127.

Likewise; I started with Cakewalk for DOS 2.0 on an 80286. It took me quite a while to learn to reach for the Event Inspector before Interpolate.
