@PDLSTL I agree, but I spend more time on the performance, acoustics and the instruments. Then the mics, pres and comps. Though I don't have too many outboard comps.

I had a bass player come in with a boss Compression stomp box pedal that actually did a really good job of keeping the bass in check going in. It was nice.
