I'm thinking of  collaborating on some projects and recently sent a friend all my track files on a  song to play with.  He just sent me back SD2 files which I can neither pull into Sonar tracks nor import...although the docs say I should be able to.  I'm new at this shuffling stuff to and fro so any help would be most appreciated...

I briefly searched on collaborating cross daw but nothing came up in the forum  Having never done this before, any links or pointers are welcome.  While my songwriting skills are pretty good, my guitar/drums are pretty weak so collaborating would be great if it isn't a total pain in the but!

Apologize in advance for my ignorance about all this!

Thanks, all...

Is SD2
Session Drummer 2
Superior Drummer 2
or something else?

Sound Designer files... I think it's the pro-tools stuff...I'll change title.  He's using Logic...

Working cross platform in addition to cross vendor. The safest way is to work strictly with audio files exported from the beginning of the tracks or use broadcast waves.

Yea, that's what I figured... so, 32bit wave files should be our mode of choice I guess, thrown up to drop box or somethin'... thanks scook... ur always there for us

Make sure the version of Logic (if this is the target DAW) can handle 32bit, it may be necessary to export 24bit.
