I set the latency at the default setting of 6 in the Quad driver settings.  That gives me a 256 sample rate and a latency time of 5.8 msec.
I think I'll try that on my next recording project which should be done in the next few days.  I hope that will do the trick.  If not, I'll move it down to 128 sample rate and give that a go.
Thanks all for the input!

MickeyD - your TOTAL Roundtrip Latency will still be high enough to cause some latency issues.  The value you reported (5.6 ms) is the value for input latency or output latency.

Running at 128, MY input and output latency values are each 4.7 ms, BUT my TOTAL Roundtrip Latency is 9.3 ms.

While what you reported is part of the equation, but it is the total roundtrip latency that needs to come down to around 10 ms or a bit less.

By the way - I don't know if he is still running it, but one of the best bass players on the planet, Jeff Berlin, has or had a music school near Tampa.

If he is still there with that, by all means look it up.  Incredible musician, and I would imagine any student performances would be well worth seeing.  :)
