No, Unless my eyes and ears fail me they are different amps, you can check it as described above (if you have both Amp and FX installed)

Pretty much I'm a "plug'n'play" kinda guy.
T

BIAS is pretty much 'plug and Play' if that's the way you want it to be, all the tweaking etc is not compulsory, though much fun. I only mess around with that side of things if I have the spare time adn or want a sound I can't get via the stock gear or through pre made stuff via Tone Cloud. Other than that it's pretty much plug and play, just like an amp, plug in, turn a few dials and away you go.

The amp matching feature is pretty cool, (there is a pack coming out shortly which sounds Awesome and includes a Marshall JCM900, a Mesa Roadking, and an Engl Fireball) and people have got great results matching from comercial CD's .wav files etc (there are also some not so great, but that has as much to do with the person doing it as the app itself) Again, I prefer to let others do the leg work and just grab what suits my purpose, as there are so many to choose from.

They're the same...just with different Names...i.e...

In Bias FX the Vox AC30 emu is called "The '56 AC Boost"
whereas in Bias Amp it's called the '56 British TB30"  (TB I assume means "Throw Back")
But they are BOTH Redface Vox AC30's...

Fender Duo Reverb in FX is called "69 Duo Verb"
in Amp it's called "Mini Duo Verb" but they are BOTH
the Fender Duo Verb emulation...

They didn't model ALL NEW AMPS just for FX...they modeled the FX
and had to give you amps to use with them if you don't have Bias Amp...
The reason they have "different" names is because Bias AMP amps are tweakable
and Bias FX amps are not.  Wouldn't be wise to call them the same thing...even
though they come under separate categories in the menu system, because when
they are loaded you wouldn't really know which was which if they had
the same name now would you...

I know if I were doing the "Modeling" I certainly wouldn't go
back to model ALL NEW AMPS if I were making an FX program,
but, hey, that's just me I guess...

"(TB I assume means "Throw Back")"
Tres droll mon ami; I'm still chuckling...
However, TB refers to the Top Boost circuitry.
Slightly different than the "Tone Stack" used by Fender, Marshall, etc.
Originally the AC-30 had no tone controls, just the "CUT" that cancels highs in the phase inverter.
The TB or "Top Boost" model was added later.
There is a mod for adding Top Boost to non-TB 30's.
Evidently Brian May does not like the phase lag introduced by the TB circuit.

IF they are the same modeled amps then why didn't they call them LE in the version that ya can't tweak.  then ya would know. was in Light Edition non tweakable.

so instead of:
66 British TB 30
66 AC Boost

which is which?

why didn't they do:
66 AC Boost
66 AC Boost LE

then ya know, ah the Boost is full and the Boost LE is the light version of the same amp.

seems rather confusing to have two products with different amp names that are the same, nothing anywhere in the literature I have read says they are the same amps. nothing says they aren't.  totally confusing.

regardless though, BIAS products sound really great and now I hate all of you cause now there are more choices to pick for guitar amps and fx for me.  UGH
