I don't know what people like about BIAS virtual amps/fx. The interface is slow, it takes forever to load. There is something wrong with initial attack too - like a compressor set to very slow attack, hard knee and high threshold & ratio.

because bias is just imo better sounding and feeling than anything else in software amp sims, it's a step or 2 ahead of everything else imo. for your other issues, might i suggest you have some another problem, perhaps an installation problem.

as to bias amp v bias fx, well, i couldn't do without either of them simply because of the extra tweakability available for bias amp amps before having said amp available in bias fx, and amp matching if that's your thing , and last but certainly not least, the choptones packs require bias amp, then of course they are available in bias fx. they have a good range and they are pretty awesome

check em out, buy em all . . . i did

and with bias amp and bias fx, i would recommend always buying the 'pro' version, then you have everything, you can always upgrade, but may as well have it from the start. oh and don't forget bias pedal, if you like overdrive/distortion pedals that is . . . sweet as

I have many of these same issues with BIAS as well. The sound is fine but it does take a long time to load for me and I have trouble clicking on the elements to edit them without opening up the "replace" screen.  I also don't think that moving the mic positions around have as much affect on the sound as moving a real mic around a speaker.

Just my 2 cents
